How to Request a UPS Customs Broker in UFH


To request a customs broker to handle your shipment follow the steps below.

Navigate to your 'Dashboard'



Locate the 'Setting Up for Success' tile, 



Click 'Establish a UPS Customs Brokerage Agreement'










 

Select 'All Documents' tab






Locate the 'Brokerage Setup' section 


'Download the PDF Template' forms U.S. Customs Power of Attorney (POA) and U.S. Brokerage Pricing Agreement to your computer


Now you're ready to complete the POA form!



How to Complete a U.S. Customs POA


This section will guide you through the steps to accurately complete your brokerage POA.  







'Open the Application' you downloaded to your computer and confirm all prefilled information is accurate. 



'Update additional fields' that may not have been auto filled.  


If you are not sure what to annotate in a field check out the field instructions enclosed on page 5.



Save and 'Sign' the POA












Now you are ready to submit your POA, but before you do let's complete your brokerage pricing agreement form, so everything can be submitted together.




How to Complete a Brokerage Pricing Agreement


This section will guide you through the steps to accurately complete your brokerage pricing agreement.  







'Open the Agreement' downloaded to your computer and confirm all prefilled information is accurate. 



'Update additional required fields' that may not have been auto filled.  



'Save' and 'Sign' the application

















Note: If your brokerage characteristics exceed 1-5 entries per month, or are more complex than the pricing agreement, our brokerage experts may reach out to you to negotiate customized pricing.



At this point you should have completed your POA, and you just finished the pricing agreement. Next you will need to upload both forms into UFH.




Submit Your Brokerage POA & Pricing Agreement in UFH


Once you have saved and signed your brokerage POA and agreement it's time to upload it for processing. Follow the next steps to submit your request.


Return to the account setup section in UFH.  If you are not sure how to access the section take a look at the third topic in this article 'How to Request a UPS Broker in UFH' to navigate your way back to the account setup area.



Select 'Upload' for the Brokerage POA or Pricing Agreement.  You will do this for each document.




'Drag & Drop' your saved POA and pricing agreement file or 'click upload' to navigate to the document on your computer


Make sure you upload the correct form to the right area.




Confirm that the files successfully uploaded 



You are finished!


Once the brokerage documents are successfully uploaded our customs brokerage team will automatically receive your documents for processing.  Processing times vary but normally take up to 2 business days for approval.
