Billing Invoices

Discover answers to common questions frequently posed by our UPS Forwarding Hub customers.

Q1: Can I pay my first billing invoice online?

No, your first invoice can be used to register for UPS® Billing Center, but it will not be available online, as the Billing Center will only allow you to pay invoices after you have validated your account.

Q2: What charges are included in my billing invoice?

Here's a rough estimate of Air and Ocean freight movement charges paid by the shipper.

    Air Freight

Air Freight Charge | Valuation Charge | Minimum Invoice Adjustment |

    Security Surcharge | Fuel-index

    Ocean FCL or LCL Freight

Ocean Freight Charge | Delivery | Pick Up | Terminal Handling Charge - Destination |

Forwarding Fee | Fuel Surcharge - Origin | Delivery Order | Export Declaration |

Terminal SCE Charges | Import Service Fee | VGM Coordination Services Fee

Q3: What are the different types of fees listed on my invoice?

There are three types of fees you may see on your shipment invoice:

  • Transportation Fees – Cost associated with air, fuel, and security are included in your estimated quote.

  • Routine Brokerage Fees - Cost applied for importing/exporting goods, and routine entry fees that vary based on freight. You can add brokerage services when booking a shipment.

  • Government Fees - Cost determined by local governing authorities, ex. Value Added Tax (VAT).
