This form is supplied by the shipper and provides information about the shipment, including a description of the goods, the value of the goods, and shipper information. This document serves as a contract and a proof of sale between the buyer (importer) and seller (exporter). Understanding how to access and correctly complete a commercial invoice is essential to avoid delays or complications during transit. How to Access Your Commercial Invoice in UFH


There are two ways to access your commercial invoice, immediately after submitting your shipment booking request or via the activity feed area on your UFH dashboard.


From Your Booking Confirmation Screen

Once you submit your shipment booking request, you will be directed to a booking confirmation for your request.

Locate the section called 'Your Next Steps'.


Under 'Your Next Steps' click 'Manage Documents' to begin reviewing and completing your shipment forms.




From Your Dashboard Activity Feed


Not ready to upload your shipping documents at the time of booking your shipment?  No problem, you can do it later. When you're ready use the steps below to navigate to your shipment and finish your documents.







Click 'Dashboard' on the left navigation panel














Now you're viewing your UFH dashboard page.



Select the 'Activity Feed' tab



'Locate the shipment' you want to provide documents for and click 'Manage Documents' to begin reviewing and completing your shipment forms. 




How to Fill-out a Commercial Invoice in UFH


Filling out a commercial invoice correctly is a crucial step in international shipping. This document not only ensures smooth customs clearance but also helps prevent delays and additional fees. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of completing a commercial invoice in UFH, breaking it down into simple, actionable steps to help streamline your shipping experience.

Click 'Download PDF Template' to access the blank form.  



Update the form with the information applicable to your shipment

  • Shipper Information
  • Consignee Information
  • Importer Information, (only if different than Consignee)
  • Commodity and Cargo Dimensions


Once you have completed the form with signatures, print or digitally sign the form.  Once you are done save the file to your computer and get ready to upload the document back to UFH.



How to Upload a Commercial Invoice in UFH


Follow these steps once your form is completed and signed. 


Return to your shipments document management area.  If you are not sure how to access the form take a look at the first section in this article 'How to Access Your Commercial Invoice' to navigate your way back to the document area.

Select 'Upload' in the documents management area for your shipment in UFH



'Drag & Drop' your saved commercial invoice file here or 'click upload' to navigate to the form on your computer



Confirm that the file successfully uploaded. A green check mark next to the document means you are good to go.  


You are finished! 


IMPORTANT: Make sure a printed copy of the Commercial Invoice and any additional documentation is available for the driver at the time of pick-up.  Your driver will need to verify form at the time of pickup.
