How to Request a Pickup in the UPS® Forwarding Hub
When you need to ship your freight quickly, you can go directly to requesting a pickup in the UPS Forwarding Hub (UFH) without creating a quote first. This feature streamlines the process, helping you book shipments faster.
This direct pickup request is available for Air Freight shipments only. Please note that pickup times are not guaranteed and can be subject to delays based on volume.
Ready to schedule your shipment? Visit your UFH 'Dashboard', locate the 'Request a Pickup' tile, and follow the steps within this article.
>>Provide Shipment Account Information
Payor Account:
Select the 'Account' you wish to use for the shipment.
If it's not listed, you can click ‘Add an account’ to link a new one.
Click 'Continue'

Payment Term:
Choose your desired payment term from the available options.
Click 'Continue'
>>Provide Shipment Route Details

Pickup Information:
Enter the pickup addresses for your shipment

Cargo Ready Information:
Select the 'Date and Time' cargo will be ready, plus add any 'Additional Information'
NOTE: Pickup must be scheduled within 7 days to avoid price changes.
Pickup times are not guaranteed and are subject to delays due to volume
Shipper Contact Information:
Enter the 'Name, Email, and Phone Number' for the shipper of cargo

Delivery Information:
Provide 'Where the Cargo is Going'. You can use your address book or input the information manually
Select if location is 'Residential'
Select if 'Loading Dock is Available'

Consignee Information:
Enter the 'Name, Email, and Phone Number' for the consignee of the cargo

Billing Information:
If applicable, Enter the 'Name, Email, and Phone Number' of the Payor
This information is only required if you selected Third Party Billing as your payment term earlier. If you didn't you will not see this form area.

Click 'Continue', to update additional information
>>Provide Additional Information About Cargo

Provide the following details about your shipment:
- Service level
- Incoterms
- Customs Broker information, if applicable

Tell us about your cargo
Provide 'Commodity and Dimensions' information

Select ‘General Cargo’, if your shipment doesn’t require special handling
Select ‘Special Consideration’, if your commodity is HAZMAT or temperature controlled
Click 'Continue'
Now it's time to review your request before submitting. There are two ways your request can get submitted:
- Regular pickup request, if rates are available
- Custom pickup request, if rates are not available or require customized pricing due to special handling
If rates are instantly available, the following screen will display:

Review the shipping information for accuracy

Review the estimated charge amount and apply any discount codes

'Read' the disclaimer
'Check the disclaimer box to approve' the charges and understand that cost is subject to change based on disclaimer.

Click 'Submit Pickup Request'

You have now successfully submitted your pickup request
If a custom rate is necessary, the following screen will display:

'Review' the custom rate form information for accuracy. This information is prepopulated based on the previous details you provided.

Select ‘Submit Request’
Once you have submitted the custom request form one of our pricing analysts will create a customized rate that fits your shipping needs and will reach out to you within 24-48hrs with a quote.
Note: Special handling shipments may require additional information, but don’t worry someone will contact you if more information is required.Here's what you should do next to prepare your shipment for pickup:
1) Complete and upload shipping documents
2) Print 'Cargo Labels' and place them on your cargo

3. Download a copy of your confirmation and charge details for your records
