How to Configure a Blind Shipment in UPS Forwarding Hub

Modified on Tue, 30 Jun at 8:24 AM

Overview

A blind shipment helps protect your business relationships by limiting who can view shipment details.

You can hide the shipper’s information from the consignee (Blind Pickup), hide the consignee’s information from the shipper (Blind Delivery), or apply both options to restrict visibility between both parties.

When to Use This

Use the blind shipment when:

  • You want to prevent the shipper and consignee from seeing each other’s  details
  • You are working with third-party vendors or intermediaries
  • You need to maintain confidentiality in business transactions

Before You Begin

Make sure you understand the following:

  • Blind shipment options must be selected during the booking process and cannot be added after submission

  • Blind shipment functionality is available for most transportation modes; availability may vary by service type or region

  • Special handling fees may apply and are displayed during booking based on service, location, and contract terms

Blind shipment options must be selected during the booking process

  • Standard customs documentation requirements still apply
